CIEMS Fuel Cell Division currently produces the custom-designed fuel cell test stations for the needs of universities,
research organizations and industrial enterprises specializing in the fast growing and very promising field of the environmentally
benign production of electric energy through the electro-chemical synthesis of water from hydrogen and oxygen.
The fuel cell test stations are custom-made for
- research and development of various fuel cell stacks
- post-manufacture forming of fuel cell stacks
- fuel cells and fuel cell stacks production quality control.
The design of the test stations allows them to be used in the laboratory as well as in the industrial settings. The stations
are capable of controlling all fuel cell stack working characteristics, including voltage, current, pressure and reactants
flow rates, either in manual or in automatic mode, including data acquisition.
The electrical load is provided by the various electronic load banks (Hewlett-Packard, DynaLoad, etc.). The test stations
are equipped with protective devices for both the fuel cell stacks under test and the stations themselves. The flexible custom
design of the stations allows testing of fuel cell stacks from 0.1 W and, currently, up to 100 kW.
